Smaller villages still deserve full attention
Yelling is a smaller village, but that should never mean smaller consideration. What I’m hearing is that access to services and staying connected matters more here than people often realise.
Every village in this ward has its own character and its own priorities. What links them is something simpler. People want to be heard, kept informed and properly represented when practical local issues need pushed through the system.
Part of good local representation is being clear about which level of government can actually move an issue. That is how you turn frustration into follow-through.
Parish reflects the local voice and keeps smaller-village concerns visible.
District represents the village in wider decisions and makes sure it is not treated as an afterthought.
County delivers on transport and infrastructure, including the road safety, speeding and diversion pressures that can hit smaller rural places hardest.
Where I do not yet have the full picture, I will say so and continue listening.
Yelling should not have to compete for attention. It should receive it as a matter of course.
The aim is to keep contact open so residents can tell me directly what matters most, especially where traffic and safety issues are building.
